Horizon has taken art to the streets with an exciting new project - the Horizon Art Bus!

A member of the Brisbane-based Indigenous artist collectives the Campfire Group and ProppaNOW, Beetson's mixed media works, which are always pink, employ humour as a central device in their message of survival and self-determination.

Artist Bianca Beetson is interviewed about her artwork, Advance Australia Fair, which responds to Australia Day and the idea of the Australian flag often being used as a way to further ostricise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. A replica of the artwork was set to feature in the exhibition Looking Back Looking Forward as it travelled around Australia in 2020.
